Typographic sheets and structured documents

چکیده
SUMMARY Document structure provides facilities for accessing and presenting hypermedia documents, and style sheets support their layout on screen (or paper). However, little attention is given to the quality of these documents in terms of typography, in the sense, for example, of abiding by the rules of the Chicago Manual of Style. This paper shows how the specification of typographic sheets can help apply typographic control to structured documents. This approach provides a mapping between elements and typographic properties. A typographic checker based on typographic sheets is presented.
